This jacket is part of our heirloom Collection.  We have made a small limited edition of pieces created using Civil War era quilt tops from the 1800s.  This piece was made from an actual quilt from the 1800s. The outside is quilted using indigo and neutral calico prints.  The inside is quilted with two different calico prints running horizontally. It's truly a beautiful quilt.  After using the quilt for the body we chose to use vintage European homespun cloth from the 1800s for the sleeve bands. The front band is made using vintage selvage denim from the 1970s and vintage Indigo cloth from West Africa.  The jacket is a relaxed fit and one size fits all. 

This jacket is a very special Heirloom piece that we hope will be worn for many years and then passed down to another person who will love and cherish it.  It's truly a work of art that is a piece of history and shows a love and appreciation for historical textiles.
